Anna C. (Kopco) Kinnel

KINNEL – Anna C., 98, of Johnstown died March 21, 2018, at St. Andrew’s Village Nursing Home. Born December 12, 1919, in Johnstown the daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth (Veres) Kopco. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles F. Kinnel; granddaughter, Lori Kinnel; brothers, Stephen and Louis Kopco; and sisters, Sr. Mary Ancillia Kopco, OSF; and Veronica Pavlovich. Survived by her sons, Wayne C., married to Rita (Barczak), Seward; and Eugene F., married to Kathleen (Stout), Johnstown; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Anna was a great cook and baker who made pierogies by the hundred. She was a member of the Weekenders Bowling Leagues where she bowled for 40 years. Anna will be remembered as a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was the glue of the family. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc.,  Broad St. where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Franciscan Friars OFM Conv. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to St. Andrew’s Village 1155 Village Sprigs Road, Indiana, PA , in memory of Anna.
