Helen Golian

GOLIAN – Helen, 94, of Johnstown died March 4, 2018, at Westmont Woods Nursing Care Center. Born August 4, 1923, in Johnstown the daughter of Stephen and Mary (Pardus) Golian, Sr. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Dorothy Golian, Mary Ann Golian, and Margaret Voytko; and brothers: Stephen, Jr., Francis, and Anthony Golian. Helen was the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by nieces; Caroline Jurich, Dolores Voytko, and Christine Williams; nephews, Joseph, Richard, Raymond, and Dennis Voytko; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. Helen was retired from Harris Boyer Co. where she was an inspector. She loved the Ethnic Festivals, listening to Polka music and was proud of her Slovak heritage. Friends will be received Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of Transfer Prayers at 9:45 a.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad St. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, Fr. George Gulash officiating. Committal will be held at St. Stephen Cemetery.
