Joseph Kralik Obituary

KRALIK – Joseph A. “Grampy”, 86, of Johnstown, died April 12, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital. Born September 18, 1931, in Cambria City the son of Michael and Elizabeth (Pisarcik) Kralik. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patty (Fris) Kralik; son, Nicholas Kralik; sisters: Catherine Balazik and Elizabeth Lubinsky; and brothers: Andrew and Michael Kralik. He is survived by his loving children: Maryellen, wife of Christopher Pollino; Christine, wife of David R. Johnson; and Nicole Kralik all of Johnstown; and grandchildren: Kara (Andrew) Bernard; Leah (Greg) Nace; Emily Pollino; Mitchell and Benjamin Johnson; and Jase and Paisley Cardona. Joe was a member of the former St. Stephen Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister, member of the Holy Name Society and volunteered countless hours of his time at church bazaars and fish frys. A current member of Resurrection Parish, he was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. Joe was a beloved father and Grampy who always had a smile on his face, a flashlight in hand and a joke ready to tell. He was generous to a fault, a man of great faith and would give anyone whatever he could but never asked for anything in return. He loved and lived for his children and grandchildren and instilled in them his work ethic, values and love for all things chocolate. Friends will be received from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where a vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Resurrection Parish, Fr. Aron Maghsoudi officiating.
