Agnes M. Filo

FILO—Agnes M., 90; Johnstown, passed away January 7, 2020 at home.  Born November 8, 1929 in Nanty Glo, daughter of John and Mary (Novalis) Gergely.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Francis M. Filo; son, Francis J.; son-in-law, Robert Kush; daughter-in-law, Denise (McDaniel) Filo;  sister, Rose Filo; and brothers, John, James, Walter, Joseph, William, Paul and Dr. Anthony.  Survived by children, Kathleen Kush of Johnstown; and Daniel Filo of Lincoln University, PA.  Also survived by grandchildren, Jonathan Dull, Heather Filo-Goldstein (Bruce), Matthew Dull, Danielle Filo-Hobor and Amanda McDonald (Nathan); and great grandchildren, Braydon, Jakob, Isabella, Connor and Dani.  A sister of Theresa McKinney (Bill) of Johnstown; and Stephen Gergely (Margaret) of Elmira, NY.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews especially, Jimmy and Denise, Mary Catherine, John and Christina, Carol and Dennis; and beloved pet “Pixie”.  Agnes was an avid BINGO player and loved trips to the casino.  She was known for her “famous” nut-roll.  She loved spending time with her great grandchildren and was loved by all who knew her.  An active member, for over 50 years, of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, the Franciscan Friars OFM Conv. Committal will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.  Friends received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G.
