Bernadine R. Solomon

SOLOMON - Bernadine, 86; Johnstown, passed away May 2, 2018 at Conemaugh Hospital.  Born February 3, 1932 in Johnstown; daughter of Joseph L. and Frances M. (Patrick) Holbay.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Louis A. Solomon; granddaughter Erica Solomon; sisters, Frances Petrowski, Margaret Holbay, Anna Posta, Mary Randau, Elizabeth Swanger; and brothers, William, Joseph, Albert and Edward Holbay.  Survived by stepson, Louis G. and wife Kip; sons, Philip Solomon and wife Connie and Gregory Solomon and wife Denise; daughters, Suzanne Gergely, and Francine Solomon. Also survived by grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, David II, Yvonne (Jimmy Adams), Amanda (Garrett Smith), Scott, Danielle, Emmalee, Benjamin, Kegan, and Eliott; and great grandchildren, RyLee Snyder, David III and Garrett. A sister of Julia Rosko of Ebensburg and Helen Budaj of Gum Spring, VA.  A member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where Funeral Mass will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, the Franciscan Friars OFM Conv.  Committal will take place at Grandview Mausoleum.  Friends received Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G.
