Berniece C. (Conway) Oleksak

OLEKSAK – Berniece C., 87, of Johnstown died October 12, 2019. Born July, 1932, in Johnstown the daughter of Bernard V. and Clara M. (Kahoe) Conway. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, William L. Oleksak; brothers, John and Bernard Conway; and sister, Mary Louise Kinol.  She is survived by her children: William D., married to Bonnie (Bender), Johnstown; Karen M. Oleksak (Dan Staley), Mill Run, PA; Brian, married to Gonzo Avila, Newton, NJ; Mark, married to Amy (Frazer), Hanover, PA; and John P., Married to Sarah (Hill), Salisbury, MD; grandchildren: Will, Casey (John) Lovette, Leah Oleksak Staley, Sarah, Patrick, Sam, Luke, Gabe, and Cora; and sisters-in-law: Theresa Conway, Dorothy Youchak, and Jane Oleksak. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Fr. Francis Balestino officiating. Committal at St. Francis Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Allegheny Lutheran Home and Windber Hospice for the loving care they gave to Berniece. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, PA 15963, in memory of Berniece.
