NOLAN – David J., 88, of Johnstown passed away August 13, 2018, at LaurelWood. Born October 3, 1929, in Johnstown the son of Frank and Julia Nolan. Preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Maser) Nolan; daughters: Patricia Nolan-Minder and husband Thomas; Suzette Nolan; Lorraine Huffman and husband Thomas; and Francine Bloom and husband Robert; step-son, Mark Horner; grandchildren: Renee, Lewis, Angela, Brandon, William, Rochelle, Nolan, Abigail, and Beau; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. David worked 25 years at the Acme bakery starting when he was 16 years old. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War serving in France from 1951 to 1953. He was a member of the former St. Stephen Church and a football and basketball coach at St. Stephen School from 1946 to 1966 and a Scout Leader with Boy Scout Troop 164. He retired from the Cambria County Transit Authority where he drove bus for 25 years. Friends will be received Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc. 710 Broad Street. Committal will be held at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be directed to the family.
