Elizabeth T. (Lacovic) Juretic

JURETIC- Elizabeth T., 97, Johnstown. Died June 22, 2019 at Windber Woods. Born October 16, 1921 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Alois and Josephine (Bosnak) Lacovic. Preceded in death by husband Joseph, brothers: Stanley, Joseph, Frank, and Louis, and sisters: Mary Ann LaCovis, Ann Tacik, and Gertrude Ondrejcak. She is survived by her children: Stanley (Janice Campagna), Joseph Jr., Elizabeth (Lance Pascuzzi), and James (Caroline Parker), and grandchildren: Christie, Julie, Nick, and Shane. Elizabeth was a parishioner of St. Rochus Croatian Catholic Church and later, St. Therese, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers. After graduation from Johnstown Catholic High School in 1940, she went to Washington, D.C. where she was employed by the United States Government. She was married in Johnstown at St. Rochus on January 30, 1946. She worked at Glosser Brothers Department Store in the tailor shop and later at Boscov’s. She went on pilgrimages to the Holy Land, Lourdes, Fatima, and Medjugorje. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2pm-8pm at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, 710 Broad Street. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Therese at 10am on Wednesday, Fr. Lawrence Lacovic, her nephew, celebrant. Committal at Grandview Cemetery.
