KOSHUTE – George, 95, of Richland Township, died November 6, 2018, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born April 2, 1923, in Windber the son of Vasil and Anna (Tolenko) Koshute. Preceded in death by his parents; wife of 61 years, Louise (DeCrignis) Koshute; sisters: Margaret Conley, Agnes Wasnick, Mary Glosky, Ann Mandel, and Pauline Fetsko; and brother, Joseph Koshute. Survived by his children: Carol Lynn Kossuth, Greenbelt, MD; and Donald T. Kossuth, Greenbelt, MD. George was a US Airforce Veteran of WWII and retired from United Metal Fabricators after 25 years’ service. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed sports, particularly football. George was a kind and loving man that enjoyed talking and joking with those around him. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad St. where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David Peles officiating. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum with military honors by VFW Menocher Post 155 Ritual Team.
