John Beley

BELEY, John 91; Johnstown, Passed away March 10, 2019 at home.  Born March 31, 1927 in Johnstown, Pa., son of Wasyl and Katherine (Patricko) Beley.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, Dorothy (Bandrowsky) Beley; daughter, Brenda Beley; brothers and sisters, Charles Beley, Mike Kuzma, Steve Kuzma, Andrew (Marge) Kuzma, Marie ( Frank) Kolinsky, Ann ( Carmine) Spoti and Julia (Harry) Stenger.  Survived by daughter, Barbara (Dr. Robert) Taber, Florida., and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. A 1945 graduate of Johnstown High School and 45 year employee of the former Benshoff Printing Co., the last 25 as co-owner until his retirement and sale of the business in 1990, Former member of SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church where he was a past officer and choir member/director for 50+ years.  Past member of Kiwanis, Elks, Retired Men's Club, Printing Pressmen's Union, Masonic Lodges, Shriners and Upper Yoder Twp. Planning Commission. Was an avid golfer and enjoyed many years of golfing with his friends. He was an accordion player and instructor; he started played in local small dance bands in the 1940's & 50's, also at family gatherings and for church ethnic dance group performances. A very special Thank You to wonderful, caring neighbors, and caregivers, Kathy and Bob Leventry; and to the Hilliman Cancer, Dr. Awan and Staff.  At John's request, there will be no public viewing or services.  Arrangements by Ozog Funeral Home Inc.
