John B. Helsel

HELSEL – John B., 55, of Greenland, New Hampshire, formerly of Johnstown, died September 12, 2018. Born February 15, 1963, the son of Thomas B. and Lois (Betts) Helsel. Preceded in death by his father. Survived by his mother, sister, Sue, wife of Jack Vince; and nephews: Chris and wife, Haley Vince of Eatonton, GA; and Matt Vince, Eatonton, GA. John was also survived by his very special friends Dick and Carmen Gordon and Diane Robinson, all of New Hampshire. John was a 1981 graduate of Ferndale Area High School and a 1987 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Master’s Degree in nuclear engineering. He worked for the Department of the Navy at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH and Cambridgeport Air Systems, Salisbury, MA. At John’s request there will be no visitation. Private funeral services will be held Saturday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street. Private Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum.
