McGREEHAN – John “Ray”, 71, of Indian Lake, died June 19, 2018, at his home. Born November 29, 1946, in Johnstown the son of John and C. Zerelda McGreehan. Preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Ronald; grandparents: William and Jane McGreehan and Joseph and Elisha Finnigan. He is survived by his wife, Janice (Brown) McGreehan; step-son, J. Ross Stewart; granddaughter, Ainsley Stewart; and sisters: Gail, wife of Thomas Babalonis; and Joyce, wife of Robert Mayercsik. Ray was a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels, Central City, where he was a Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, lector, and 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus and Grand Knight of Light of Christ Council #9109. He was a 1965 graduate of Bishop McCort High School; US Marine Corps combat veteran of the Vietnam War from 1965 – 1969; member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians; and retired from Bethlehem Steel and Freight Car of America. Ray was a proud Sherry Lynn Dancer, prolific reader, writer/poet and enjoyed religious studies. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad St. where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will take place 10 a.m. Friday at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, Fr. Aron Maghsoudi officiating. Committal will take place at St. John Gualbert Cemetery with military honors by Conemaugh Valley Detachment #287, Marine Corps League.
