John Richard Way

WAY - John Richard,  66; Johnstown, died October 6, 2019 at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.  Born April 15, 1953 in Johnstown, son of the late Richard and Evelyn (Nelson) Way. Survived by wife, Sara Louise Sprankle, of Johnstown; and children, Kimberly Hohman (Brian), Colorado; Brooke Gagan (Ben) Johnstown; Shawn Way (Jody) Columbus, OH; and Paige Hunter, Johnstown.  Also survived by grandchildren, Kai Hohman, Nate Hohman (Ashlee), Logan Gagan, Griffin Gagan; Justin Way, Jacob Way, Jesse Way, Maxwell Way, Sydney Way and Shawn Way Jr.  A brother of Richard Way, Robert Way, Pamela Barrett and Scott Way; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Retired welder for JWF Industries. He was an active member of the Minersville PNA, and he enjoyed playing Texas Hold ‘Em, and shooting Pool.  Known by his friends as "JR", he was very easy going and friendly to everyone he met. He will be loved and sadly missed by family and friends.  Friends received Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Francis G.
