October 15, 1930 ~ June 2, 2019 (age 88)

PUCHKO - Patricia M., “Pat” 88, Johnstown, passed June 2, 2019.  Born October 15, 1930 to Joe and Mary Bernosky. She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 54 years Stephen (Pappy) Puchko Jr, her siblings: Delores Lochrie, Shirley Grossi, Carol Caplin, and Bert Bernosky. Pat is survived by her children: Michelle Wentz and business partner Donny Gates, Stephen J. and wife Trish (Dragovich), Douglas and wife Maureen (Coyle), and Patty Ann and husband Bruce Shannon. Her grandbabies, as Mom called them, Jacob, Kristy, Jimmy, Stephen T, Kayla, Douglas J., Jessica, Jordan, and Frances and her great grandbabies, Haily Sue, Melanie, Wesley, Cassidy and Madison. Also survived by sister, Dorothy Cvrkel, her loving in laws and many nieces and nephews.  Mom was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She took great pride in keeping her home warm, welcoming, spotless, and cooking up a storm and passing on those incomplete recipes to family. In years past Mom and Pap were avid dancers, duckpin bowlers at the Knights of Columbus and regulars at several bingos and clubs in the West End.  Mom was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith and lifelong member of St. Stephens now Resurrection Catholic Church in Cambria City, where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., the Rev.George M. Gulash. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery.  Her viewing will be Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. In lieu of flowers, they made Mom sneeze; please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1100 Liberty Ave, Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, in memory of Pat Puchko.  Mom was a tough lady and she wouldn’t want us to be sad because she is in her eternal home with Dad and pain free. We will miss Mom forever, and were blessed to have her for 88 years. So celebrate her life, lift a vodka tonic or dry red wine, roll a duckpin ball, or yell bingo in her memory. We love you Mom I hope God is ready for you and Pap dancing again.
