Patrick J. Shrum

SHRUM – Patrick Joseph, 69, of Johnstown, died March 26, 2019, at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, Duncansville. Born August 19, 1949, in Johnstown the son of Richard and Rose (Yost) Shrum. Preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, Jeffery, married to Robin (Grove); step-daughter, Melissa (James), wife of Patrick Stanton; grandchildren: Elisa, wife of Kyle Horner; Brenton, Ethan and Zoey Stanton; and great-grandchildren: Hayden, Liam and Jeremiah Cade; and Noah Horner. Patrick was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. He will be remembered as a kind, loving and caring person that will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him. Friends will be received Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery with military honors by VFW Menoher Post 155 Ritual Team. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home for the kind and loving care they provided to Patrick while he was there.
