Petronella "Pat" (Freet) Bendick

BENDICK – Petronella “Pat”, 86, of Oakland, residing at Arbutus Park Manor, went to be with our Lord on April 15, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Born February 18, 1933, in Johnstown, the daughter of Fred Hecker and Evelyn Freet. Preceded in death by parents; foster parents, Harry and Iva Bridegum; husband, Joseph D. Bendick, Jr.; son, Joseph F. Bendick; and grandson, Jeffrey J. Keyser. Survived by children: Kathleen A., wife of George A. Benko; David R., married to Sheri L. (McCleester); Ronald F., married to Marjorie A. (Marek); and Jennifer L., wife of Brett E. Besyk; grandchildren: Adam S. Keyser, married to Katelyn E. (Sells); Amanda R. and Erika L. Bendick; Stephen F., Travis A. and Casey A. Bendick; and Julianna R. Besyk; and great-grandchildren: Gretchen Elizabeth and Lucy Pearl Keyser. Also survived by foster sister, Shirley Long; and foster nieces, Linda and Ivy Sue. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church where funeral Mass will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Fr. David Peles officiating.  Friends will be received Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street.
