Richard E. Rokita

ROKITA – Richard E., 76, of Benshoff Hill, died June 4, 2019, at his residence. Born November 5, 1942, in Johnstown the son of Stanley T. and Matilda (Furman) Rokita. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Roberta Spinelli; and brother, Edward M. Rokita. His is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Thomas) Rokita; sons: Richard T, married to Sandra Droz; Randy Rokita; and Ron Rokita and special friend, Robin Ribarich; grandchildren: Angela, wife of Jason Wachs; and Ray Burnheimer, married to Jennifer; great-grandchildren: Lexi, Mia, Kristian, Ivan, Mason and Delaney; brother, Robert, married to Kathy Stepien; and sister, Sylvia, wife of Steve Mindish all of Johnstown; devoted and special family friend, Brian Boone; and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. with 35 years of service. Richard loved his many dog companions over the years especially his latest dog, Pete.  Friends will be received from 1-6 p.m. Friday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Resurrection Parish, Fr. George Gulash.
