Ronald H. Schrengost

SCHRENGOST – Ronald H., 71, of Johnstown, died July 23, 2018, at Maple Winds Care Center, Portage. Born January 7, 1947 in Johnstown the son of Henry and Stella (Urban) Schrengost. Preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children: Ronnie Schrengost; Stephanie, wife of Bruce Guyan; and Justin, married to Christina (Cummings) Schrengost; grandchildren: Zack and Tara Guyan; and Avery and Emily Schrengost; brother, Barry, married to Glenna (Boyer) Schrengost; and sister, Sharon, wife of Jim Ortag. Ron was a proud US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from US Steel. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, especially with his best friend, Jimmy Eisenhuth. Ron loved spending time with his family and his son’s dogs. Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where military honors will be offered by Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be directed to the Menoher Post 155 VFW, in memory of Ron.
