KUPRES - Rosemarie “Rosie”, 89; Youngstown, FL, formerly of Johnstown, passed away April 8, 2018 at Glen Cove Health & Rehab Center in Panama City, FL. Born August 11, 1928 in Johnstown, daughter of John A. and Anna C. (Kaschak) Stanko. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Thomas J. Kupres; sister, Joan Sanders; and brothers, Andrew, Charles, John, Joseph and Francis Stanko. A loving and amazing mother to her children, John T. Kupres of Johnstown; and Maryanne Kupres of Youngstown, FL. A sister of Agnes Pfeil of Johnstown. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Rosie’s love of church, Jesus Christ and Catholic Faith was evident in her devotion to her church. She was the secretary at St. Stephen’s for almost 50 years, a Ladies Guild Member, choir member, cantor and lifelong parishioner of the former St. Stephen Catholic Church. Rosie’s energetic personality and caring heart for all people was a gift to everyone she helped as secretary of St. Stephen’s. She would give the best hugs and smiles, making everyone feel loved and welcomed. A member of Resurrection Parish, where Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Lawrence L. Lacovic officiating. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Friends received Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. The family would like to thank the staff of caregivers at Glen Cove Health and Rehab Center, for their wonderful care.
