Sandra Lee (Pleskovic) Farcus

FARCUS – Sandra Lee, 45, Seward, PA. Passed into eternal life October 13, 2018 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, after a hard, long-fought and courageous battle against an autoimmune disease. Born August 19, 1973 in Johnstown the daughter of Richard and Janet (Rager) Pleskovic. Preceded by her father, Richard Pleskovic; maternal grandparents, Ira and Catherine Rager and paternal grandparents, August and Mary Pleskovic. Survived by loving and devoted husband, John Farcus; mother, Janet Pleskovic; brother, David Pleskovic and wife Amber; nieces: Emily, Brianna, Kylee; and nephew, Landon. Also survived by her three adoring canines, Cassie, Delilah and Dakota who were her kids in fur and will miss her greatly. Sandra was a graduate of Greater Johnstown High School, Class of ’91, University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Class of ’95, and Conemaugh School of Nursing, Class of ’96. Sandra worked at Conemaugh Hospital on 9 Ashman as a RN in the Ortho/Trauma Unit for 22 years. She loved all animals, especially dogs and cats and always donated money to many local animal organizations regularly and was well known in the family as “the dog whisperer” because she could train any dog quickly and lovingly to do her bidding. Her love and caring for all her pets was boundless. She lived her life in a way that made her family proud. She was a loyal friend, an extremely hard worker, and hopeful for a cure of her illness to the end. Sandra was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Cambria City. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc. 710 Broad street. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Therese Catholic Church, 551 Decker Avenue, Johnstown, Fr. Bernard Karmanocky, O.F.M. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ebensburg Animal Hospital, 922 Rowena Drive, Ebensburg, PA 15931 to help animals in need of surgical care, or the Family House, 514 N.
