Theodore B. Figart

FIGART – Theodore B., 84, of Johnstown died April 15, 2019, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born June 4, 1934, in Johnstown the son of Chester L. and Clemmie M. (Rager) Figart. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Leroy Figart; and sisters, Dorothy Balough, Arvilla Figart and Elsie Figart. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ann (Mikolaj) Figart; children: Christine, wife of Tim Helsel; Theodore, girlfriend, Heather Virdo; and JoAnn, wife of Christopher Wade; grandchildren: Jordan, Logan, and Blake Wade; and Hunter, Hollis, and Hogan Helsel. A US Army Veteran. Ted was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Ushers Club and Holy Name Society. He was active in cutting grass at the ballfields, making pierogis, and helping with the church festival. He retired after a combined 43 years of service with Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown America and FreightCar America. An active member of the St. Clair Tremont Club. Ted enjoyed hunting and fishing but mostly he enjoyed attending his grandchildrens activities as they were his pride and joy. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-7 pm. At the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad St. where vigil service will be held.  Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Therese Catholic Church, Fr. Bernard Karmanocky, O.F.M.
