O’HERRICK – Virginia G. “Toots”, 96, of Johnstown, went into the loving arms of Jesus surrounded by her loving family on November 23, 2018. She was born June 20, 1922, in Commodore, PA the daughter of William Dean and Effie (Henry) Butterbaugh. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew O’Herrick; daughter, Rebecca Ann; granddaughter, Rebecca Ann; and brothers: Milford “Kicker”; William “Cork”; Earnest “Gov”; Harold “Top”; and Henry “Jack”. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn V., wife of Harold J. Park, Jr, Johnstown; and son, William O’Herrick, Mineral Point; granddaughter, Jennifer, wife of Chris DelSignore; and great-grandsons, Anthony and Dominic DelSignore whom she adored. During WWII, Virginia worked at a shell factory in Latrobe and after her children were raised worked at Penn Traffic in the Glove and Umbrella Department for many years. She was very good at doing ceramics, crewel work, knitting and many other arts and crafts. She was a very special person and will be greatly missed by all those that loved her. A special thanks to the staff of the Villa Personal Care Home and Interim Hospice, Fr. William Rosenbaum and Fr. David Peles for their very special care of our mom and nan. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Clement Catholic Church, Fr. William Rosenbaum officiating. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery.
