William J. Makin

MAKIN – William J., 71, of Johnstown died October 11, 2018, at his home. He was born November 8, 1946, in Levi, Ohio the son of Norman and Elizabeth (Stark) Makin. Preceded in death by his parents; infant brother Kevin; brother, Norman; and sister, Donna Kline. He was the brother of: Joanne, wife of Mark McCleester; Albert “Randy” and wife Diane; Nellie Updegraff; Nancy Gilchrist; Judy Shrader; Robert and wife Billie; and Eric and wife Mary. Also survived by nieces and nephews and special great-nephew, Michael Kerr. William was an avid fisherman and a Pirates and Steelers fan. He was known throughout the area for calling bingo at the Knights of Columbus, Roseland, East Taylor Fire Company and various other locations. He always worried about his siblings caring for them and keeping in touch during their times of illness. He will be greatly missed by all that loved him. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family is being served by the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc.
