Adeline Schultz Obituary

SCHULTZ - Adeline E., 89; passed away July 11, 2020. Born December 14, 1930 in Johnstown, daughter of Michael and Barbara (Terebus) Pozniak. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Thaddeus J. Schultz; son, Richard J. Schultz; brothers, Edward, Raymond and Wallace Pozniak; and sisters, Sophie Ponczak and Josephine Ziemba.  She was the last survivor of her immediate family.  Survived by loving children, Natalie married to Charles Schatz, Johnstown; Vincent Schultz married to Valarie (Hartnett), Johnstown; Stephanie married to Barry Bartle, Arizona; David Schultz married to Tami (Morder), Johnstown; Valerie married to Cliff Majercsik, Johnstown; and 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Also survived by sister-in-law, Norene Pozniak; special cousin, Judy Bortel; numerous nieces and nephews; and her “gang of friends”, Flo, Fern and the late Nancy.  Adeline was a retired Registered Nurse at the former Mercy Hospital.  Very active member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church and the Prayer Shawl Minestry.  She also enjoyed her time quilting with the Salix Stitchers Club.  Friends received Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, the Very Rev. Mark S. Begly, VF. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Mother of Sorrows Church or to the St. Vincent DePaul Society in memory of Adeline Schultz.
