MESNAK – Agnes Margaret, 92; Johnstown, passed away on June 24, 2023. Born February 19, 1931 in Johnstown, daughter of Thomas Sr. and Mary (Pisarchik) Furnari. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Joseph J. Mesnak; brothers, John, Frank, Thomas and Joseph Furnari; sisters, Margaret Gabriel, Helen Gaydos, Mary Yuhas, Anna Ozeck, Dorothy Bambino and Betty Furnari; and son-in-law, Paul Hutzell. Survived by her beloved daughters, Sharon Hutzell, Karen, married to Martin Harnish, Christine, married to Jeffrey LaPorta, and Monica, married to Randy Kutchman; Also survived by 11 loving grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. While on earth she had many titles, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, great grandmother, neighbor, friend and now angel. We can no longer see her, but we can always love her. Agnes was a retired worker for Ace’s Catering. In her early years she was an avid roller skater at Roseland. She was an excellent cook and baker, and known for her famous nut rolls. She enjoyed crocheting. Agnes touched the hearts of all she came in contact with, especially to all the staff and residents at the Allegheny Lutheran Home, of whom the family is thankful for their compassionate and loving care. She was a member of the former St. Rochus Catholic Church, and current member of Resurrection Parish where Funeral Mass will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. George M. Gulash. Committal will follow at Richland Mausoleum. Friends received Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Broad Street.
