Agnes Swarney

SWARNEY - Agnes, 87; formerly of Virginia Avenue, passed away on January 17, 2022 at Quality Life Services, Westmont.  Born December 20, 1934 in Johnstown, Agnes was the daughter of Albert and Dorothy (Keblesh) Singel.  She is preceded in death by parents; husband, Stephen M. Swarney; brothers, John & wife Louise, Andrew & wife Gerry, Stephen & wife Jean, and George & wife Betty Singel; and sisters, Dorothy Singel and Mary & husband Lou McCawley. Agnes is survived by loving children, Randy and wife Diane, Fleming Island, FL; Stephen and wife Marisa, Harrisburg, PA; and Christine and fiancée Wendell Cooley, Johnstown; and grandchildren, Amanda and Michael; Brynn, Brett and Brooke; and Victoria Patrick.  A sister of Michael & wife Mary Ann Singel and Magdalene & husband Joe Sank. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, special neighbors and caregivers, Sister Honora, Joanne McKinley and Bill Benyacko, along with Eucharistic Minister Frank Bazyk. A member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church,  Friends received Monday January 31, 2022 from 10 :00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:15 a.m. at St. Francis Church, the Franciscan Friars OFM Conv.  Committal will be held at St. Stephen Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Quality Life Services for their compassionate care.
