TOTH - Alexander J. “Alex”, 91; Johnstown, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 13, 2023. Born March 19, 1932 in Johnstown, son of Martin and Margaret (Tkach) Toth. Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Theresa A. (Fatula) Toth; son, Patrick Toth; brothers, Stephen and Louis Toth and sister, Bertha Toth. Survived by daughter, Patricia Mooney; and son, Daniel married to Jane (Gibbs); grandchildren, Jessica Conroy, Olivia Taylor, Ashlee Stayrook, Annemarie Smith, Sarah Bilski; step-grandchildren, Amber and James; and great grandchildren, Liam, Julia, Joseph, Madison, Peyton, Raegan; step-great grandchildren, Jameson, Colton, Angelina, Jaden and Zachary. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Johnstown Post Office in 1993, after 28 years of service. Alex enjoyed do-it-yourself projects including wood working hobbies. He enjoyed bowling, gardening and traveling by train. He liked taking pictures of the family, as he was known as the family “Shutter-Bug”. A loyal fan of Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Steelers. A member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where he was involved in the Men’s and Usher’s Clubs. Friends received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the Franciscan Friars OFM Conv.
