STROZAK – Alfred F., 86, Lower Yoder, went to be with the Lord February 11, 2024. He was born November 11, 1937, in Johnstown, son of Alfred and Elizabeth (Forish) Strozak. Preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, brothers-in-law, Robert Mikulsky, Stanley Mikulsky and Steve Homola, and daughter-in-law, Connie Strozak. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Catherine (Mikulsky) Strozak, children; Michael, Springfield, PA, Susan Sauro, and Patrick, both of Johnstown; grandchildren: Ashley Strozak, Jamie (Greg) Stull, Sean (Kylee) and Emily Sauro; great-grandsons, Carson, Austin and Aaron Stull, sister, Marie, wife of Ronald Mikesic, sisters-in-law, Veronica Homola, Patricia Mikulsky, Joanne, wife of Michael Stoskey, and Carol Mikulsky. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Alfred graduated from Johnstown High School in 1955, worked at the Tribune Democrat, US Steel, and St. Patrick Church. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He was a loving husband and valued spending time with his family. He was known for his charisma, quick wit and sense of humor. He loved going to plays, concerts, playing card games with family and he was an avid reader. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Franciscan Friars OFM, Conv. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their great support.
