PUDLINER- Andrew P., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on March 16, 1946, in Johnstown, PA. Andrew’s journey through life was marked by dedication, hard work, and an unwavering love for family and community.
From a young age, Andrew discovered his passion for farming and butchering, starting his career at the tender age of nine. This path would lead him to become a respected businessman and owner of Pudliner Packing, a venture he successfully managed until his retirement in December 2025. Beyond his professional achievements, Andrew was known for his love of raising cattle, frequenting livestock auctions, and his enjoyment of hunting and mowing grass. A familiar face at the VFW and the Red Barn Sportsman’s Club, he cherished the moments spent with friends and the stories shared in camaraderie.
Andrew is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Anna Pudliner; his brothers, Edward, Frank, John, and Charles; and sisters, Elsie Kapsos and Inca Macey. Andrew is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Pudliner, who stood by his side throughout life’s many seasons. He is also survived by his daughter Kimberly Lavis and her husband Tom, his son, Andrew Pudliner and his wife Megan; his grandchildren, Lauren, Parker, Breegan, and Eyeslee; and his best buddy, Harley. Andrew took immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, passing on his love for the land and his tales of life’s adventures.
A man of deep faith, Andrew’s belief in God guided him through the trials and triumphs of life. His legacy is one of perseverance, warmth, and a profound connection to the soil he so deeply loved. His family and friends will fondly remember the lessons he imparted and the love he shared.

As we reflect on Andrew’s life, we find comfort in the poetic words of Nancy Kraayenhof: “For this one farmer the worries are over, lie down and rest your head, Your time has been and struggles enough, put the tractor in the shed. Your labor is done, your home now in heaven; no more must you wait, Your legacy lives on, your love of the Land, and yes Dad- we will close the gate…”
Andrew P. Pudliner leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.
