Angela M. (Skunta) Komara

KOMARA – Angela M., 100, of Johnstown, died September 25, 2024, at The Villa Personal Care in Johnstown. Born April 13, 1924, in Johnstown, she is the daughter of John and Suzanna (Kucherka) Skunta. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Francis Komara; son, Karl Komara; and sisters, Helen Burgraff, Joanne "Jen" Sestrich, Florence Visovsky, and Phyllis Skunta; brothers, John Skunta, and Cyril Skunta. Survived by children, Franklin (Cecile) Komara of Kissimmee, Florida, Kenneth (Nancy) Komara of Kissimmee, Florida, and Joseph Komara of Johnstown; grandchildren, Michele, Meghan, and Lydia; 2 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Elaine Komara; and numerous nieces and nephews. Angela was a dedicated and loving mother who took pride in raising her four boys, she loved classical music, cooking, and journaling daily. She was a lifelong member at St. Therese Catholic Church. Friends wil be recieved Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Service will be held at 11 AM, Rev. Bernard Karmanocky O.F.M. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery.
