Angeline (Gvozdich) Giesey

GIESEY (GVOZDICH) – Angeline, 88, of Johnstown, died August 23, 2021, at Laurel View Village. Born July 5, 1933, in Johnstown the daughter of Stanko and Mila (Bastaja) Gvozdich. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Giesey; son, Dennis Giesey; and brothers: Eli, George and Douglas Gvozdich. Survived by her daughter, Nadine Giesey married to Brad Lipanski; grandchildren: Derek, Anthony and Katelyn; great-grandchildren: Otto and Elizabeth; and sisters, Helen Gvozdich, of Michigan and Diana, married to Bernard Smith of Mineral Point.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Angeline was a 1951 graduate of Johnstown High School.  She lived in Florida for 20 years and while there enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, Mahjong and bingo. Visitation will be held at Christ the Saviour Cathedral Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10 a.m., Very Reverend Protopresbyter Robert Buczak. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Laurel View Village especially Reflections and Health Care.
