Anna M. (Datko) Kris

KRIS – Anna M., 86, of Johnstown, was called home to be with our Lord on August 16, 2021. Born July 3, 1935, in Johnstown, daughter of Matej and Mary (Fabry) Datko. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald, whom she married July 26, 1958; infant daughter, Janet; sisters, Margaret Mascuch and Mary Prachick; and brother, Joseph J. Datko. She is survived by her loving children: Carol, wife of Anthony Mondi, Roxbury; Marilyn, wife of Daniel Markley, Westmont; Richard, Ashburn, VA; Patricia, wife of Todd Davis, Old Orchard Beach, ME; and Nancy, wife of James Piscatello, Schellsburg; grandchildren: Jacob, Maria, Leah, and Zachary Markley; Joshua, Brian, Michael and Sarah Davis; Erika Putman, Taylor Conrad, Lauren and Jamie Piscatello; great-grandchildren: Bentley, Riley, Jayce, Aiden, and Liam; and sisters, Joan Shepler, GA; and Christine, wife of John Bodie, Johnstown. Also survived by special niece, Patty McKim, who was like a sister to Anna; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  Anna was a 1953 graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School. She was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and attended the Chapel at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Anna would lead the Rosary while living at The Villa.  She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and baking, and watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports and other activities. A member of St. Therese Catholic Church where funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Franciscan Friars OFM Conv. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where vigil service will be held. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of QLS Westmont and Windber Hospice for the kind and loving care they provided to Anna.
