SMITH – Bernice L., 87, of Johnstown died December 25, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital. Born July 10, 1931, in Johnstown the daughter of John E. and Ellen E. (McKendree) Kirkwood. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thurmond E. Smith; infant brother, John; and sisters: Dorothy King; Alice Kirkwood; Mary Catherine Petrick; and Hazel Petry. Survived by her sons: David Smith; and Richard M. Smith; grandchildren: Justin, Kyle, Colin, Johathan, Brandon, Chelsie, and Marc; 3 great-grandchildren; and sister, Amanda Miller. Member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Private funeral services will be held at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad St., Pastor Valerie Conrad-Dembinsky officiating.
