SABO – Bertha M., 99, of Upper Yoder passed peacefully into the arms of her blessed Savior on January 31, 2021, at Memorial Medical Center. Born January 12, 1922, in Salt Block, PA the daughter of the late Charles “Roy” and Clara “Hazel” Wilson. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert “R.J.” Sabo; sons, Robert C. and Jack Sabo; daughter-in-law, Susan (Toth) Sabo; grandson, Dennis; sisters, Ida Hall, Marie “Mickey” Faull, and Hazel Gehl; and brothers, John and George Liturgey; Roy “Scotty”, Glenn, Robert, James “Tug”, Lemon, Gerald, and Richard Wilson. Survived by her loving children, Thomas, Richard (Cathy) and Patricia (John) Rovan; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Sabo; sister, Patricia Bracken; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Bertha was a full time mother and grandmother who enjoyed her annual family reunion, Sunday car rides, bingo, the casinos, lottery tickets and her flower garden. A special thank you to her wonderful caregivers, Mary Spory, Heidi Miller, and Pat Brylski. Friends will be received Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street. A private funeral service will be held for family only at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Grove Avenue United Methodist Church. Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery.
