KOHAN- Betty Louise., 91, of Johnstown died October 1, 2023, at Haida Heathcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born February 8, 1932, in Johnstown, the daughter of Stephen and Laura (Fretzel) Seeley. She is preceded in death by her parent; loving husband John Kohan Jr; brothers-in-law, Steven Kohan, Donald Kohan, Robert Kohan, Bernard Kohan; sisters-in-law, Mary (Stofko) Kohan and Dolores (Mirilovich) Kohan. Survived by daughters, Dianne Grosko married to Dr. Greg Grosko, and Lisa Dvorchak married to Dr. Matthew Dvorchak; Grandchildren, Kristin Bond married to Ryan, John Andrew Grosko, Alexandria Dvorchak and Lauren Dvorchak; sisters-in-law, Janet (Wertz) Kohan, Carol (Partsch) Kohan, and Judy (Griffith) Kohan; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. Betty worked at Harris and Boyer and was an employee at Penn Traffic in the candy department. She was a lifetime member of St. Therese Catholic Church where she was baptized into her faith and married. She was a member of the Oakhurst Mothers Club and enjoyed working in her flower garden and landscaping. A special thank you to Father Thaddeus Retger for his continuous spiritual support to Betty. Also, a huge thank you to the Staff at Miners Hospital, Hastings Ambulance, and the loving care givers at Haida Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed deeply. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. A Funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2023, at St. Therese Catholic Church., Rev. Bernard Karmanocky O.F.M. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
