RAGER – Betty Lou, 87, of Johnstown, died May 20, 2022, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born December 13, 1934, in Johnstown the daughter of Frank, Sr. and Kathryn (Yamnitsky) Rovan. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, William G. Rager, Jr.; son, Kevin Rager; and brothers, Daniel, Robert and Frank, Jr. Rovan. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen C., married to William Hill; sons: Brian, married to Judy Ann (Grego) Rager; Carl, married to Janet (Coakley) Rager; and Roger, married to Regina (Schultz) Rager; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Michele (Lopez) Rager; and brother, William Rovan. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Betty Lou was a long-time member of the Bowserdale United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir and the treasurer for over 20 years. She was a former employee of Sani-Dairy and still enjoyed going to lunch with the retired ladies from work. Betty Lou enjoyed bowling and loved flowers, working in the garden and greenhouse, traveling with her children on vacations to Nashville, the Grand Canyon, Disney, on Cruises or wherever they would go. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Francis G. Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Pastors Cleo A. Carr and Carol Hickman officiating. Interment will be held at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to either the Bowserdale United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
