Betty (Moschgat) Reiking

REIKING – Betty, 90, of Johnstown, died November 23, 2020, at her daughter Judith’s home. Born July 8, 1930, in Johnstown the daughter of Robert and Alvina (Hiros) Moschgat. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles F. Reiking; and sister, Caroline.  She is survived by her children: Charles A. Reiking, Robert D., married to Bertha (Cleary) Reiking; and Judith M., wife of Brian Bloom; grandchildren: Jason, Danette, and Derek Reiking; Douglas Cleary; and Blaise G. Bloom; great-grandchildren: Lexi, Gavin, Emily, Aiden, Cassie, Madeline, Miley and Mason; brothers: Victor, William, David and Mark Moschgat; and her best friend Rita Kopco. Betty will be remembered as a kind and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that loved taking care of her family. She was a 1948 graduate of Richland High School, the same year she married her husband, Charles.  She was a retired seamstress from Bestform. Betty was a 63 year member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Franciscan Friars OFM, Conv. Committal will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where vigil service will be held.
