Bettyanne Wilfong

WILFONG - Bettyanne, 80, of Johnstown, PA passed away May 11, 2020 at the Vincentian Home in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born July 8, 1939 the youngest daughter of John and Mary (Milchak) Skubak.  She was married to the late Walter Wilfong. Bettyanne is survived by her son Mario Wilfong and daughter-in-law Bess (Repsher) Wilfong and their sons, Jacob and Zachary. She is also survived by her son John Wilfong and daughter-in-law Erin (Sikora) Wilfong and their sons, Owen and Quinn.  She was a longtime member of the former St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and was an active member of many clubs and groups through the church and West End Catholic School.  In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by her beloved brother Francis “Skuby” and Fran Skubak, as well as many, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Her extended family was especially important to her throughout her entire life.  In addition to her parents and husband, Bettyanne was preceded in death by her brother John Skubak, and three sisters, Mary Lou Kristoff, Paula Kisko and Bertha Morihlatko.  Arrangements are being handled by the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home in Johnstown. Due to the current pandemic situation, there will be a private graveside ceremony limited to her immediate family. In the future, the family will plan a funeral Mass and service to appropriately celebrate her life and memory with relatives and friends. Committal will be in the former St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Johnstown.  In lieu of flowers or other gifts, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the UPMC Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
