Beverly (Babik) Plaza

PLAZA – Beverly, 82, of Johnstown, died February 29, 2020, at her residence. Born August 25, 1937, in Johnstown, daughter of Stephen and Bernice (Britz) Babik. Preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John “Jack” Murphy, III; and, Richard Plaza; and brothers: Donald and Dennis Babik She is survived by her sons: John Murphy, IV, and wife, Sue, Bainbridge, PA; and Jason Plaza, Conshohocken, PA; grandchildren: John, V., Jarrod and Brittany Murphy; and great-grandson, Aysin Murphy. Bev lived a full and wonderful life on her own terms. She was a kind and loving lady who was beautiful both inside and out and will be missed by all who knew her. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church where funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Fr. Bernard Karmanocky, OFM.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc. 710 Broad St. where vigil for the deceased will be held. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum. Bev gave generously to many charitable organizations and so the family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations can be directed to a charity of your choice, in memory of Beverly.
