Blanche L. Varmecky

VARMECKY - Blanche Louise, 95; Johnstown, passed away on May 12, 2022 at Arbutus Park Manor.  Born September 7, 1926 in Johnstown, daughter of Antonio and Antonia (Garvacka)  Twardziak.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Edward Varmecky; daughter-in-law, Linda (Lloyd) Varmecky; brothers, Walter, Stanley, Anthony and Robert Twardziak; and sisters, Maria McDonald, Jessie Tokar, Ann Milano, Lottie Moran and Dorothy Porada.  Survived by loving children, Ronald and wife Diane (Druzak) of Pittsburgh; Richard and wife Cindy (Veach) of Harrisburg; Raymond of Jacksonville, FL; Ralph and wife Barbara (Ryba) of Johnstown and Russell and wife, Maxine (Harkleroad) of Johnstown.   Also survived by grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Brian, Stacy and husband Kurt Roberts, Amy, Brandon, Russell and wife Megan (Mascuch), and Brianna; and great grandchildren, Isaac and Sophia Roberts.  A sister of Nellie Skubak of Johnstown; sisters-in-law, Jean Delic, Fran Skubak, and Stella Varmecky; and brother-in-law, Joseph Porada and numerous nieces and nephews.  A member of the Johnstown Senior Center where she loved to line dance with the Golden Strutters Chorus and sang with the Senior Serenaders.  Former member of the Cambria City Association. A member of Resurrection Parish, where she loved to volunteer for the church festivals.  Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Resurrection Parish, the Rev. George M. Gulash. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery.  Friends received Friday, May 20, 2022  from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street.
