Brian D. Bambino

BAMBINO- Brian D., 64, of Johnstown, died April 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born March 6, 1961, in Johnstown, he is the son of Richard B. and Dorothy A. (Furnari) Bambino who preceded him in death. Survived by his loving wife, Kimberly (Polca); daughter, Christina (Tony) Albertelli; granddaughter, Anna Lynn; brothers, Dennis Bambino, Robert V. Bambino (Cindi Yates), and Richard B. Bambino Jr. (Dana Hershberger); and numerous nieces and nephews. Brian was employed with the Greater Johnstown School District for 32 ½ years working in the maintenance department and later becoming the maintenance director. Brian was a lifelong member at St. Therese Catholic Church. Brian loved life. He loved people. He saw the good in everyone, and enjoyed reading his Bible. His faith, even during sickness, never wavered, but only got stronger. Brian loved hunting, hiking, and fishing with his brothers. They had a special bond that all brothers should have. He loved music of all kinds. He sang in a Barber Shop Quartet, and in his younger years, he sang in a rock band. His pride and joy was his daughter and all that she accomplished. He loved sitting and talking with her, watching his granddaughter grow into the beautiful teenager that she is today. He loved that his son-in-law would watch Gunsmoke with him even though he thought it was corny. And of course, he loved his wife who was his soulmate. Special thanks to his friend and neighbor, Don Buday, for being there when Brian needed him. Also, special thanks to 1 Laurel highlands Hospice Care, especially nurse Tracy who he called his little angel, and to Father Karmanocky for all of his talks and words of comfort. A private visitation will be held for family on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. A funeral mass will take place Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rev. Bernard Karmanocky O.F.M. Committal will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
