Bryan Williams Obituary

Williams - Bryan George Jr., 61, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully January 19, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born September 4, 1963, on Plattsburgh Air Force Base, son of Bryan George Sr. and Nancy J. (Skamla) Williams. Preceded in death by parents; and son, Devin Williams (Anna Demitras). Survived by daughter Lauren Burgan married to Tyler of Arizona; grandchilden, Skyler Burgan, Jase Burgan, Evalyn Burgan and Eli Gonzalez; sister, Jennifer Economy married to Brian and Susan McKinney married to C. Allan Jr.; nephews, Benjamin Economy and Jacob Economy; nieces, Hailey Economy and Jessica McKinney-Ritter. After graduation Bryan joined the United States Air Force, where he served his country for 5 years stationed mainly in Alaska. Following his military career Bryan spent many years working for AT&T as a cell tower technician and later worked for World Electronics in Indiana as a surface mount machine operator. Bryan loved spending quality time with his daughter and grandchildren. He earned a black belt in Karate after training for many years with Joe Goss Sr. and he was very proud of and loved helping his grandsons work toward their own black belts. He enjoyed watching and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. Bryan also loved spending his time outdoors hunting, gardening, working in the yard, golfing, riding his quad, and taking walks in the woods. Bryan was an animal lover and rescued numerous dogs and various wild animals throughout the years. He will be smiling as he sees his beloved dog Bear again. Bryan was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will truly be missed by many. Friends will be received January 24, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. (Broad Street). Funeral service will be held January 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc, Pastor Robert Wolf presiding. Committal will follow at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by Conemaugh Valley Detachment 287 Marine Corp League. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bryan’s memory to the Cambria County Humane Society which carrried a special place in his heart at https://www.humanecambria.org/donate.
