Carol Teresa (Trotz) Audey

AUDEY – Carol Teresa, 64, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully at home on June 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born November 26, 1961, in Johnstown, the daughter of Leon and Genevieve (Gawel) Trotz. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, William Trotz, and Thomas Trotz; sister, Nancy Claar; brother-in-law, Gary Schilling; and sister-in-law, Deborah Trotz. Survived by her loving husband, George Audey; children, Krystle Nemeth married to Scott Nemeth, and Michael Audey-Koch married to Ryan Audey-Koch; Grandchildren, Maxwell Nemeth and Henry Audey-Koch; sisters, Patty Schilling, and Sharon (Rudy) Kusher; brother, Robert Trotz; brother-in-law, Larry Claar; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Alongside her husband, George, Carol proudly managed SR&G Construction for 35 years. Together, they built not only a successful business but also a legacy of hard work, dedication, and commitment to their community. Carol's greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, whether reading stories, coloring, or simply sharing in their everyday adventures. She delighted in making holidays magical and memorable, always finding special ways to bring joy to their lives, often with a gift in hand whenever she visited. Family was at the center of Carol's life, and she loved opening her home to host gatherings that brought loved ones together. Her warmth, generosity, and devotion to her family created lasting memories that will be treasured for generations. Carol was also a lifelong and faithful member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, where her faith remained a guiding presence throughout her life. Friends will be received Monday, June 22, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. The Very Rev. Fr. Donald Shadid will hold Trisagion Prayers of Mercy at 7:00 p.m. Funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, The Very Rev. Fr. Donald E. Shadid. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Carol to the St. Mary Special Project Fund at 111 Alberta Ave, Johnstown, PA 15905.
