Catherine "Cate" (Hirupsky) Drosjack

DROSJACK- Catherine “Cate”, 76, of Johnstown died July 15, 2024, at PAM Health Specialty Hospital in Sarasota, Florida. Born March 8, 1948, in Johnstown, she is the daughter of Paul and Rina (Castagnini) Hirupsky. Preceded in death by her parents and cousin David Balko. Survived by loving husband Walter Paul Drosjack; stepchildren (Robert Paul Drosjack, Debra Lynn Grove) and step-grandchildren (Alex Grove, Hanna Grove, Rebekah Drosjack and Raymond Drosjack), and special cousins in Pennsylvania (Susan Perry and Alan Balko) and Tuscany, Italy (Giordano Bertoni Family, Gabriella Bertoni-Breshciani Family, Manuela Castagnini-Ferri Family and Daniella Castagnini). Cate was a graduate of JHS Class of 1966, Robert Morris University (Associate Degree in Business) and Geneva College (BS Human Resource Management and studied for a MS Organizational Leadership). Cate loved sunflowers, the beach, a glass of Chianti or Sangiovese and “bling”.  She was proud of her Italian heritage. Cate and Walt traveled there often and visiting many lesser known places in Italy such as the marble quarries in Versilia, bronze statue casting factory in Querceta, Castello di Pontebosio (www.castellodipontebosio.it), the mercados in the quaint villages and of course Florence, Pisa and Rome. She was thrilled to have recently obtained her dual citizenship in Italy. Cate was beautiful inside and out and will be missed by many. Cate would study the Bible daily and enjoyed comparing the different versions.  One of her favorite Bible chapters was Psalm 91.  Due to Walt’s employment, they lived several places throughout the USA. Friends and family will be received Monday, July 22, 2024, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm and the funeral services will take place at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Pastor David Streets presiding. Committal will follow at Grandview mausoleum.
