Catherine "Cathy" Popovich

POPOVICH – Catherine “Cathy”, 70, of Johnstown, died August 5, 2022, at her residence. Born September 15, 1951, in Johnstown the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Strihan) Popovich.  Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dennis and Edward Popovich; and brother-in-law, George Plowchin.  Survived by brothers and sisters: Mary Ann (Vernon) Charneski; John (Harriet) Popovich; Frank (Joan) Popovich; Marge Plowchin. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and many good friends.   She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church and the First Catholic Ladies Association.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Resurrection Catholic Church, Fr. George Gulash officiating. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery.
