STRASHENSKY – Charles, 88, of Johnstown, died February 9, 2022. Born September 20, 1933, in Johnstown, the son of John and Mary (Burgara) Strashensky. Preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ruth Ann (Trexler) Strashensky and second wife, Josephine (Cafferelli) Strashensky; brothers, Edward and John Strashensky; and sister, Joan Weyandt. Survived by brothers, James Strashensky, Willoughby, OH; and Robert Strashensky, Johnstown; and sister, Mariann Arbuthnot, Marlton, NJ. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was a US Army Veteran, owner of C and S Construction where he was actively working, and he loved taking vacations for Florida. He was a very active member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Msgr. Raymond Balta officiating. Friends will be received Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where a memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 351 Budfield Street, Johnstown, PA 15904, in memory of Charles.
