BARTIS – Constance, 69, of Richland Township, died November 29, 2021 at home. Born February 16, 1952 in Johnstown, daughter of John and Mildred (Moncilovich) Pavich. Preceded in death by her parents and her sister Joanne Pavich. Survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Joseph Bartis; son Michael Bartis of Richland Township, daughter Melanie Bartis (Clay Westbrook) of Spring, Texas; beloved grandchildren: Damien, Abigail, Clayton, and Jacob Bartis of Johnstown and Joseph and Mia Westbrook of Spring, Texas; brother, John Pavich, Jr. (Patricia), and nieces Melissa Komar (Doug), and Melana Simms (Brandon), and their children Nicholas and Quinn Komar and Brayden and Marcus Simms, all of Johnstown, and nieces Barbara and Mary Elizabeth Bartis of Alexandria, Virginia. A 1970 graduate of Johnstown High School and a 1973 graduate of Shadyside School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, she spent her 41-year career as a registered nurse in hospital, home, and office settings, most recently at Conemaugh Hospital’s Family Medical Center, where she retired in 2014. She has spent her retirement years enjoying her grandchildren, cooking for all occasions, gardening, and traveling to see her Texas family. She was a member of the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church and enjoyed preparing meals and baking for church events. Friends received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where Pomen will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday. Friends also received Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church on St. Clair Road, the Rev. Presbyter Dragan Vukovic. Committal will follow at St. Nicholas Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church Building Fund in memory of Constance Bartis.
