Daniel C. Hutchison

HUTCHISON- Daniel C., 84; Johnstown, passed away on March 27, 2025 at home.  Born July 20, 1940 in Johnstown, son of Clinton and Genevieve (Rhoades) Hutchison.  Preceded in death by parents; and sister, Genevieve Constable.  Survived by loving wife, of 60 years, Margaret (Janisko) Hutchison of Johnstown; and children, Eve Mikolich and husband Brian of Johnstown; Floyd Hutchison and partner Eric Glassman of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Karl, Joshua, Benjamin, Tyler (Rayanne) Schmidtetter; and 9 great grandchildren.  A U.S. Army veteran and Reservist serving with the 458th Engineer’s.  Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp.  He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church where he served as an Eucharist Minister, Lector, Usher, Server, Choir member and pierogi maker. He was also a member of the Polish Heritage Choir.  Family and friends are asked to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Therese Church at 10:00 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Bernard Karmanocky OFM.  Committal will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery where the VFW Post 155 Ritual Team will hold honors.  The family would like to thank the staff at the TCU Department of Conemaugh and Windber Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Therese Church Building Fund in memory of Daniel Hutchison. Arrangements are in care of Francis G.
