SUKENIK – David E., 77, of Johnstown, entered eternal rest on May 4, 2025. Born June 15, 1947, in Johnstown, he is the son of the late Edward J. and Catherine D. (Molchany) Sukenik. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Kenneth; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Mary (Vrabel) Fatula; brother-in-law, Michael Fatula; and infant sister-in-law, Francine Fatula. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years Diane (Fatula); children, Jeffrey married to the former Lisa Whysong, Jennifer wife of Christopher Gardenhour, and Jason married to the former Jamie Claar; grandchildren, Nicole, Tyler, Evan, Alexa, Ian, Aaron, and Brody; sister, Kathleen (David) Owens; brothers, Karl of Florida and Raymond Sukenik; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert (Patricia) Fatula, Marian(Fatula) married to Daniel Sojak, Philip Fatula of Wyoming, Vincent (Julianna) Fatula of Colorado, and Jennifer Sukenik. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. David was a member of Resurrection Parish where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 9, 2025, by Rev. George Gulash. Committal will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of David to Resurrection Parish. Donations can be sent to the parish office, located at 408 8th Avenue Johnstown, PA 15906.
