PETRORE – Dominec A., Jr., 74, of Johnstown, died November 30, 2023, at home. Born July 12, 1949, in Johnstown, the son of Dominec and Josephine (Verrone) Petrore. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Phillip Petrore; and sister, Linda Herdman. Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ada (Divins) Petrore; daughter, Lisa, wife of John Dryzal; and Dominec and loving girlfriend. Kim Stenger; grandchildren: Hunter and Madison; and sister, Antoinette Rhodes. Dominec was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and both the Army and Airforce Reserves. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church where he was active on the Grounds Committee, helping with various projects around the church and making perogies. He loved riding his Harley, hunting and fly fishing. He retired from Bethlehem Steel with 25 years of service. Dominec enjoyed going to all his grandchildren’s events and will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Friends will be received from 4 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Therese Catholic Church, Fr. Bernard Karmanocky, O.F.M. officiating. Committal will take place at Grandview Mausoleum with Military Honors by VFW Menoher Post 155 Ritual Team.
